Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is an integral part of the Practitioner's life.
It ensures that the Practitioner is not only fulfilling his/her obligation to the professional organisation but also provides the clients with the assurance that the Practitioner is improving and continually developing their skills and knowledge in a particular field.
It is a vehicle by which Practitioners can keep up to date with current issues as well as optimizing career opportunities now and in the future.
The International Christian Association of Natural Therapists Inc. Continuing Professional Development policy has been designed to allow for flexibility and accessibility to all Practitioners. It is important that a professional level of education is maintained throughout the duration of one's profession. The policy acknowledges the diverse range of activities required for the successful operation of a business and has therefore included other aspects of training and education into the activities points sheet.
The policy has also recognised that people have individual learning needs. This is reflected in the varied allowable activities.
Continuing Professional Development is not only a requirement of the Association but is also a valuable tool to enhance effectiveness in the workplace, maintain technical competence and to develop new skills.
New skills are not only beneficial to the individual but they can also help to encourage client confidence.
