CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT POLICY

Practitioners must ensure that they keep their CPD current otherwise it could affect their membership.

Activities must be relevant to the industry.

A minimum of 20 points must be accumulated per annum.

Generally 1 hour will equate to one point but confirm this on your CPD sheet.

A copy of your record sheets must be kept for a period of 2 years.

Only practising Practitioners are required to keep a CPD record sheet.

Seminars, conferences and lectures attended by the Practitioner must be from a reputable source.

CPD points are required from January to December as this is the Associations financial year.

A copy of your previous years activities must accompany your renewal membership.

The International Christian Association of Natural Therapist Inc. may demand proof of your Continuing Professional Development at any time throughout the year. You must provide this within 21 days otherwise your membership may be affected.

Learning activities in the workplace cannot be claimed as CPD.

Private study is not an acceptable form of CPD.

Volunteer work is acceptable providing it is in the field that you are qualified.

Post graduate study is an allowable activity

Any area of Risk Management Training (Occupational Health & Safety)that extends your current ability to carry out your professional role may be counted as CPD points.
